The decision, announced on August 11 by the management board of the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Site, will remain in effect until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A tragic incident occurred on August 10 at the Detian Waterfall Scenic Area in China&#8217;s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. A malfunctioning &#8220;Magic Carpet&#8221; ride resulted in the death of one tourist and injuries to 60 others. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.redbus.vn\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/ban-gioc-falls-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.redbus.vn\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/ban-gioc-falls-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.redbus.vn\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/ban-gioc-falls-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.redbus.vn\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/ban-gioc-falls-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.redbus.vn\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/ban-gioc-falls.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the incident, Vietnam has temporarily halted cross-border tour services to the shared waterfall, a popular tourist destination known for its stunning beauty. Tourists who have already booked and paid for tours will be offered refunds or alternative arrangements. However, domestic travel services within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redbus.vn\/blog\/ban-gioc-waterfalls-all-you-need-to-know\/\">Ban Gioc Waterfall <\/a>Tourism Area will continue as usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cross-border tour pilot program was launched in September 2023 and had seen considerable success, with nearly 12,000 visitors crossing the border in the past 10 months.
